The photos and videos do not do this place justice. The geyser and travertine pools are quite a sight to behold, but I highly recommend you wear a poncho and some protective casings for your phone, camera and glasses. There is a sign warning not to park your car next to the geyser, because it will get damaged, but they don't give the same warning to people. Unless you're a good distance away, you WILL get soaked. The water from the geyser is harmless to humans, but not to their belongings. My $600 phone and $500 camera got completely ruined from the spray, along with my watch, glasses and sunglasses.

I did not know what to expect and whether it could be worth of 35 min driving detour.. But it was worth it.. It was amazing, colorful.. It starts at the whole hour and lasts about 12 minutes.. Children were prepared in swimming suites 😁 because of strong wind it sprayed on different sides.. After it stopped we noticed our phones had large white stains all over.. Unfortunately also our jackets and trousers had billions white dots.. It is something in water

Every hour on the hour for about 10-12 minutes if you can time your visit. If you arrive early, go to the Visitor Center next to it or the cemetery Wagon Box Grave or the exhibit across from the cemetery. Walk around the geyser until you get a whiff of sulphur for the complete experience. Didn't seem like a lot while we were there, but all the questions it could raise about geysers, sulphur, history, even how much better/easier we have it as evidenced by the cemetery, make this worth your time. And might raise some curiosity to increase knowledge after the visit.

This natural occurring geyser is an interesting attraction in the small town of Soda Springs Idaho. We were not there long enough to see the main eruption, but it was interesting. Pretty cool as this is a lone geyser in a small town, that gives them bragging rights!

Normal schedule go off
In town, yes. But the guyser doesn't have it's own dedicated WiFi.
There is a large parking lot in the back by the Geyser. But it is not a place where you can camp. I do believe that there are rv parks in or near Soda Springs.
I was there at 7. p.m on the 12th and waited 20 minutes. It didn't go off.
At the proper place, there are no places for camping. However, there are many places close by to camp without much effort.
