my cat has some lesions on her tongue. The vet is going to biopsy it Tues. Aug.25. They said she may have to have part of her tongue amputated. Is this common.

I have no idea. I do know that when a biopsy is done, they take a small amount of tissue from the affected area. Depending on the findings of the biopsy, a partial amputation may be needed. I'm not a vet so I really don't know how common it is. Sorry
