You see John, the more security deposits they can get, that's more money that they can invest/leverage with. In other words, they are MAKING MONEY OFF OF YOU. PS, that's why they don't provide the renters with the financial info required by law (at least in MI) because those deposits are probably not in escrow accounts. Sucks huh?
