You do not need a fishing license to fish inside a Texas State Park. Instead of purchasing a fishing license, buy a Texas Parks Pass. That way, all of your day fees will be waived every time you go, for you and everyone in your car. That adds up quick. The fee for the Parks Pass could pay for itself in just a couple of visits. I fish only in State Parks. And I do for the price of the pass.
