Very good park overall. Fishing was fun although we only got a few bites

The best route for walking and cycling. Safe and clean

Great place to go fishing, biking, running, walking, picnic, cookouts. Usually it is not crowded at all, even on a beautiful breezy Saturday afternoon in October. Biking is easy because there are bikes you can rent for up to 60 minutes. Only thing is a bit contrasting is that the refinery behind the park, goes on full cylinders, you can hear the constant flaming tower of the refinery. So it is not as quite as you would expect.

The park opens when the sun comes out and closes when the sun goes down
Yes I have used them, suggest you bring aluminum foil because they are not clean
Yes you can fish in the river. Beware of wildlife and snakes though.
Mostly lures, catch and release only please. Ignorant people that don't know how to fish tend to leave they're trash right by the river that pollutes the fish growth., But only to complain that theres no fish. If the fish is undersize throw it back AND give it a chance to grow and multiply.
You can go to YouTube and look up video, as well as the park and rec section of the city webpage
Ask a park police that question while holding an open beer in your hand.
Depends on his age. I believe 11 and under no license needed. Correction 17 and under it is not required.
The use of alcohol in City parks is banned by ordinance, except by special event permit or in those parks exempted under the ordinance.

Using aluminum is a great idea, however it's a bit problematic and sometimes is hard to cook with, it catches fire if not a heavier brand, and depending on how experienced the grille is they also have disposable grills to put over the parks metal grill. That's probably worth looking into.
Yes. It's very much so, all San Antonio parks are yes. Great biking, areas and fishing 🌅 kayaking, walking. Just stay hydrated, bring your cooler
Yes we just left
Yes there are game wardens passing by all the time
You sure can. I've seen those fish jump right to the surface.. Good luck. Have any more questions don't hesitate, it's really nice there now, trails and all. Have a nice time.
No worries no one does
I would also agree, there are signs telling you not to go in but it's for your own safety.. some people have died by simply going under the water and having bacteria form in their brain due to water going up their nose, do not go into the water
You can boat (small) for fishing but I don't think swimming is allowed.
I'm not sure, I haven't checked on that yet.
No, it closes at sunset and park police enforce it.
To be honest I've never seen any bbqs there....i mostly see recreational activities in that area but I could be wrong
11 pm
Its good. Theres two sides u can fish there cats pearch tilapia and bass. Caught 2 bass on sunday
Yep. The only time you do not need a fishing license is if you are under 17 years old or fishing from the bank in a state park. Not to be confused with a city park like this one. Tight lines!
Actually I went last week it was my first time there, and the park police say that we couldn't be there till they open amd I ask what time was that he say 9 till 5, and if they see someone in there before time and after time that they well be getting a ticket.
No swimming allowed, that water is too murky and dirty to be enjoyable. In the past there have been a number of drownings do to the water conditions.
I dont think youre supposed to
Yes
I saw someone catch a decent size catfish.
