No. Some tent camping spots are a very close walk to the river, but most campsites are a little further away. When we were camping there we packed a picnic and drove down to the river access area, There are many picnic tables available and you can also set up right next to the river.
no the campsites are not on the river, there is picknick areas on the river.
No, you have to drive a ways to get to the river from all RV and some tent campsites and like all other state parks, they offer day passes so the "good" river places to set up have to "reserved" with a canopy, chairs etc before 8am when the gates open to day passes.
No the campsites were further away, unless you like to walk, you have to drive from the campsite to the river...
An easy option for many who don't like the crowded parking lots of day use is to park at Wagon Ford Campground and walk down the path from there. Its as close as any parking spot in day use to the river and puts you among the largest trees in the park and you have shade! This campground is the nearest to the water and is the primitive campsites Zeke Chavez mentioned. It was so busy today we had to close. Making reservations online makes it a guarantee. In the app store or reserveamerica.com
no but they are close
No but close.
Depends on where you camp is how far your from the water. But there's no camping on the water due possible flash floods.
