Every time I go, I discover more that I hadn't realized was there. From art created 20 years ago to 4000 years ago, there's a huge variety and worth the trip. Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet, Rivera, Rubens, and on and on. Mummies, even.
It has a variety of art from Native American to African to European art and more. If you want to get an image of Detroit's history and golden era visit the famous mural by the Mexican muralist Diego Rivera. Enjoy!
