Fantastic theater and fun for the whole family. It's a community run movie theater that specializes in older films. The president of the theater is a great guy and even shows some original film reels from his personal collection. They have a working organ and grand piano that they play every showing. They also use real butter on their popcorn! I'd recommend coming for their Halloween and Christmas films. For Christmas they have a neat model train town set up by the stage!

It was my first time at the Redford Theatre. The theater is so beautiful! I sat in the balcony with an excellent view of the stage. I attended a candlelight concert presented by Fever. The entire stage was covered with electric candles. It was a lovely and romantic Halloween atmosphere. A string quarter played Halloween music from Greig to Michael Jackson. The music was great! Better than I could have ever imagined. Parking was easy. The crowd was diverse and interesting, and appreciative of the performance. If you get the chance, go!

This theater is a perfect example of the old styles from the Golden Era of movie houses. The ambiance is everywhere. Go! And enjoy!

It takes you back in time when you walk in very nice.
For movies, all seating is general admission. They also have some special live performances there, but I don't know whether those are general admission or not. It's a big theater, so as long as you get there a little early (half hour before showtime) it will be easy to seat a group together.
Absolutely, https://www.wxyz.com/news/lock-yourself-in-the-redford-theatre-with-motor-city-ghost-hunters
Call ask. First
Nothing Sunday or after for a while. Next show is Feb 23, Cool Hand Luke, Paul Newnan
Scotty Simpson's Fish & Chips 22200 Fenkell Ave Detroit, MI 48223 It will match the ambience of the theater. Clean, but very old setting. Reminds me of when I was a kid in the '60s. Go before the show. It closes at 9.
Yes
Yes I would call the theater directly
The seats are fine if you could sit every other seat but the idea of bringing your own chair is great. The workers are volunteers and they would certainly accommodate you with that
Sorry, no idea.
They can email and also look your name up once you get there and you won't have to wait in line outside.
The Redford Theatre is a restored movie house which shows classic movies. It is owned by the Motor City Theatre Organ City and has a beautiful Barton theater organ which is played before movies and during intermission. The Park Players is a community theater group which is now performing live theater at the Redford. They may be able to help you with acting lessons or least tell you who can help.
They have a large guarded lot next to their building. As that fills, they open other nearby lots that are also guarded and a short walk to/from the theatre. There are also a few parking spots along Lahser St. in front of the theatre.
This theater does not show first run movies. Just old movies. This is not a regular movie theater, but a non profit organization that runs an old theater an plays old movies. They will not be playing It. They are generally open on Fridays and Saturdays for a single film. They only have one screen. Hope this helps.
