I am curious as to exactly WHERE the information is coming from that has so many local guides telling people that the S.S.United States is COMPLETELY gutted or is closed to any tours because it's unsafe or there's nothing left to see? Please?- WRONG!

If you go on the Conservancy website they state specifically that a donation at the Captain & Quarters level rewards you with a POTENTIAL tour --- my brother & sister just took a tour this past Memorial Day weekend & although the ship is in quite bad condition, it's still very impressive to tour & it most definitely ISN'T completely gutted!

Many articles note that shes been gutted, there also info on the Conservancy's site about why they don't do tours or paint the ship.
