Hi, alot of the businesses have opened back up and are ready to serve lunch and dinner. The park is open!!
Check their website for info. It's a national park so it is probably affected by the shutdown.
Not many businesses open so it the walmart first.
It's a national park so it is open to the public according to the posted signs. There are public restrooms along the highway. There is an office to buy an offroading permit if you have a capable vehicle. You can buy a visitors fishing licence and anything you need at any fishing shop. There is a museum down in the village of Hatteras that has seasonal hours on it's website. There are several light houses along the coast that you can climb, refer to their websites for the hours. There is a lot of other stuff that I haven't seen. If you stop in an area ask someone, everyone is friendly down there.
