Used to run my dog at this beach but recently a sign went up saying the water is harmful to my dog ??? This was the second beach with this sign posted!! Maybe we should start picking up our trash when we leave the beach after a nice day with the family!! This place is a gift from above we should take care of it instead of throwing your trash everywhere maybe then the signs would go away and we would have safe water to swim and drink!!

It’s very clean. Life guards are there on site. It’s less crowded. Pets are allowed.

Water was clear, no waves, the least busy of all beaches, and the beach is clean. There are a significant amount of flies that are a nuisance. They also do bite. I would return.

I was just there 2weeks ago and a life guard directed a pet owner to a different area (walking distance) near beach 11 to take their fur baby. Just ask the life guard... they're nice😁
Yeah you guys can fish right in the channel that separates the bay from the lake near beach 11.
The best place is the unguarded beach between beach 9 and 10. Parking can be crowded. It's great for kite flyers too and dog swims.
