Is 4×4 or 4 wheel drive necessary for all of the camping sites. There are 4 on Hatteras national seashore. Hoping to go this weejend. I don't own a 4×4. Thanks for ant responses

No, not at all. Only if you want to drive on the beaches (with a driving permit). It's the best way to experience the Hatteras beaches btw

4wd not needed to get to any campsites. You should consider renting one and drive on the beach though.
