Did your dog have tags??
Did your dog have current County license with your current phone number that YOU put when you got his County tags? very unlikely or they would have called you. there's a 72 hour hold on illegal dogs and then hopefully they get adopted or rescued if owner abandoned at the pound more than the stray hold or they'd be killed 100 a week.
