If you are missing a dog or cat and ask them if they have or have seen your pet- they never email you back to let you know. I think its terrible to only reply to inquires about adopting yet fail to acknowledge emails regarding lost pets. Posting on behalf of myself in the past and others who have faced this problem as well. If others didn't tell me they had the same issue I would've only taken off one star for inconvenience. Regardless I support rescues- I just think its wrong to leave pet owners that are already sad regarding their lost pet with no way of knowing if their pet could've ended up here.

Have heard a good things. I know dogs need help - but what about cats they need help to. There are 2 cats right now in need of help at some aptments at 183 township road 1335 the woman that owned them got them when they were 6 weeks old she kept them til they were 6 mounts then throw them out and when got 2 other 6 week old kitties. These 2 cats have helth issues. 1 has a tooth or mouth problems and the other 1 ears are tore up. They have been called but did not call back. The lady that was feeding them is moving and can not take them. Dont know what's going to happen to them now. Concerned.

Are you a no kill shelter?

Hi! Technically yes, we do not euthanize for space. We do however euthanize if an animal comes in with such severe medical issues that we have no viable options for and quality of life would not be adequate, as well as if an animal is a danger to humans due to aggression - but there are numerous steps to our behavior assessments, medical assessments, and decompression time as well as we have other criteria that have to add up to euthanize for aggression. It’s not something we do often, or take lightly when it is necessary and typically there is an underlying medical issue like a brain tumor that is causing the issues. I hope that answers your question! All of the animals that come in to our shelter stay with us until they find homes of their own, or until it’s time for them to pass. We do extensive medical care and such to keep them as happy and healthy as possible while with us as well!

When are you open ? An do you have puppys or dogs to adopt? Thank you!!
