Try a German Shepard Rescue first. Then try the shelters, Austin Pets Alive, Austin Pet Center(??) ~Anita
The employees and volunteers at the shelter are VERY busy and probably won't be able to answer you. Your best option is going to be continuing to check the website for dogs you may be interested in adopting and then visit the dog you're interested in adopting and get to know the little guy yourself! That way you can make your own judgement, and visit with some other pups!
I have a German Shepard mix puppy who is 7mos. She is very loving and needs a big family to keep her busy.
I just found a beautiful German Shepherd at Walnut Creek, he is about 1 year old, my guess. He was tied up for 45 min. at the park, no one around, no tag. I brought him home, but I can't keep him. I have a large male dog that does not get along with others. I am about to call Animal Rescue in Leander. Would you like to see him, before I give him to the shelter?
