All their waiting lists are closed and they can't say when any will open. They announce openings on social media. I dont go on social media so that doesn't do it for me. Missing old Austin

If you have low income, you will have qualified to get public house. They help you program like job, free program for kids too. But public house is strict policy. Must clean background check clean depending they will offer you to accept to get public house. Its long waiting list if you apply this application. If you are disabled or elder, you will be top waiting list to get ready process. I suggest you to go headquarter to get information about it.

We have been on the list for almost a year.. dropped down a lot on certain places but now we are not moving. I am the only source of money for our 3 person family. The place we live is part of the job I have so I cannot find a new job.. make 50% less

On an estimate sheet. It reads: "Maximum Rent $9.99" "Tenant rent $.09"
Does that mean that the tenant may pay up to $.09 in excess of $9.99, for an actual rent total of $10.98?
Or that the maximum rent is $9.99, of which the tenant must pay $.09?

All of HACA waiting lists are closed. They had some openings in July so thats past and they dont know when anything will be available. They recommend trying Housing Authority of Travis County, Caritas, Austin Tenants Council, Front Steps, Salvation Army and City of Austin-rental assistance. Good Luck!

You need to file with San Marcos housing. Once you are in housing it is somewhat easier to move your housing from town but you need to get it going 1st in the town you want to move to. Got to go through the process

They only periodically open up the housing choice voucher program and take applicants. If you're chosen you'll be put on the waiting list. Your best bet is to apply for public housing. Go to the website all the information is there.
