Why did Old Bridge post office remove the drive up mail boxes? I am disabled and it was very nice to not have to get out of the car. Now they are located in front of the building. I put a letter in the first mailbox and it hasn't been delivered yet.

Boxes were moved due to District decision. And you can put you're letter in you're home mailbox, the carrier will deliver the letter within the same time as the Drive up Boxes.

I heard someone put a package in the drive up mailbox. Could be dangerous.

Oh,that's true . These days everyone must be careful. I agree with the decision and thank you for your answer.I used the mailbox in front of the post office to mail a letter, then I thought maybe they are not being used since my letter did not arrive in the usual 4-5 days. It did finally get to it's destination.Thank you for the explanation and with the way things are these days,it was a good decision. I was just wondering why after all those years they were removed. Thank you for answering so quickly. I agree now that I know the reason. Thank you again, K.Maluta
