There is a kitten in my neighbor's backyard that has been crying since last night. I've attempted to rescue the kitten, but it's terrified, runs and hides everytime I find it. Is there anyone that would let me borrow a safe trap that won't hurt it

They should be able to assist you with a loaner because they do it for ferrel cats to get spayed/ neutered and released back out.

Call the ACS office and ask them if you could borrow a trap cage hopefully it would get anyone in trouble....
