If you have the resources, the women's prison has a dog training program that is amazing. A couple of my neighbors have used it and their dogs are so well behaved! This was posted on Nextdoor. Just wanted to share, for those that are not familiar with it, a most amazing dog training program through the Women's Correctional Facilities. Through a strict screening process they select dogs from rescues and shelters or from private individuals who can no longer keep their pets but don't want to give them up to a shelter. After the dogs complete their training they are put up for adoption to loving homes. They also have a wonderful four week board-in program for family owned pets that need that extra bit of guidance and schooling. Petco has training services. I'd also recommend using a Gentle Leader (collar/head halter for training. We have a Great Pyrenees (150lbs) and he's done so well with it.
