The best you could do is to go there in person. Just be there very early so that they can attend to you properly. It is important. It saves your time and gives you rest of mind. I'm talking from experience; so, if it worked for me, it will work for you too.
I have not seen the most ridiculous customer service ever in this entire world than this bunch of unscrupulous moron that work at Nigerian Embassy. We process passport and we're told it will be ready in 2 weeks. We bought the ticket to travel a month after. Despite the return envelope we are still waiting for the passport 2 days to travel.

Mr Ikenna, as a staff, every case is different, second, am sure, there is a reason, y there is a delay, third, I'm sure, we must hv tried to contact, the said applicant.

The worst Nigeria consulate in the entire world is the one in Atlanta. Believe me if I said so. I couldn't get to attend my mother's funeral in Nigeria because of unprofessional behaviors of the staff. I paid for "express delivery" to get my passport deliver fast but, I got the passport in five weeks. No accountability, no good customer service, no respect for other fellow Nigerians. Very unprofessional staff. The embassy needs to be shut down.
