What beaches are dog friendly? Must dogs be leashed?

The law says yes, leashed, custom says if you trust your dog, no leash is fine, but you better have a well behaved dog!

I use to go to beach 11 with my dog years ago and never had the leash on her. Pa has a state leash law.

There were not any dogs on Beach 6 the day we all were there. Perhaps telephone the Presque Isle office and ask to make sure. Remember that the water is not comfortably warm until September. Wish we knew that.

Park law says dogs should be leashed. There are some private areas that you may be able to get away without one though.
