Print form from website. It explains things pretty well. Will run you through calculation for the amount of the check.

You will need the title application, cash / check and proof of identity if you just moved to Iowa

Good morning, Greta. If you are the only person going on the new vehicle, we can help complete any additional forms in our office. It is always a good idea to bring in a bill of sale as well. Until we actually see what you have, we will not know if you need anything additional. Make sure the title assignment is completed in full with all information and signatures/print names. Our website can help you walk through a title transfer before coming in. https://www.polkcountyiowa.gov/county-treasurer/vehicle-registration-sticker/vehicle-title-transfer/. There are open apts in June. Please book now. If you are having trouble getting an appointment it is important that you to submit your transaction to us in a timely manner another way such as through mail or drop box located at the front of our building parking lot level to avoid any late penalty. Please include your daytime telephone number in case we have questions or need to collect payment if you wish to pay over the phone w
