Scotty’s was great. I was able to get my truck in right away after a hail storm and they fixed it in 2 weeks. There were sections of the truck I didn’t think were fixable and it came out amazing. I have and will continue to recommend Scotty’s to my family and friends.

Let me just say, this was my first time experience getting my car fixed for any reason. Due to the recent storm, my car got hail damage and needed to get fixed ASAP. I was intimidated by the turn around time and the whole process that goes into it. When I first called Scotty's to set up my appointment, they were able to squeeze me in at the earliest slot which made me feel better I didn't need to wait it out further. They told me it would take a week for the repair to be done. I asked myself like, "Really? Is that even possible?" Sure enough, they made it happen. The whole experience was nothing but a breeze! I was VERY impressed by their professionalism, timely service, and empathy to my needs. My car looks brand new and like nothing happened to it. On top of that, they detailed my car and told me I can drop off my rental car and they will handle the rest. Honestly, what more can you ask for? I will NOT choose another repair shop as they have exceeded all my expectations. This is how you do business. Thank you to the whole team at Scotty's for everything you do! You have left a positive impact to my experience.

Hi Mike, we can give you an idea of the price from pictures, however, for an actual quote we would need to see it in person to check it out thoroughly.

Why is the insurance estimate different from your estimate?

Scotty's Body Shop | Oct 25, 2018
Scotty's Body Shop | Oct 25, 2018

It is not uncommon for an insurance estimate to be considerably different than an estimate written by a body shop. There are a multitude of reasons for this, mainly due to estimates written before a thorough tear down of the car has been performed. Insurance companies cannot see the full extent of damages due to an accident, so their initial estimate can reflect quite differently than of the final repair costs. It is the responsibility of the insurance company to pay for additional hidden damage after repairs begin not the customers. This additional cost is called a supplement, and it is very common. Scotty's has procedures in place to ensure that ALL damage will be documented and billed to the responsible insurance co.

Can I have my car fixed anywhere or do I have to go where my insurance company says?

The state of Iowa protects our rights as citizens to have our vehicle repaired at ANY repair facility of our choosing. Unfortunately, there is a lot of confusion on this one, you may be told by an agent or adjuster that you HAVE to go to a certain place, and its simply not true. You can rest assured that it is entirely up to you where you would like to have your vehicle repaired, and we would love the opportunity to earn your trust.
