Hi Jon, If you live in Polk County, you will come to our office to obtain the gift certificate. We issue gift certificates for only regular number blackout plates. Our hours are 7am to 4:30pm Mon-Fri. The cost is $35.00. If you are wanting to purchase a gift certificate for personalized blackout plates, you will need to do this with DOT at https://iowadot.gov/mvd/personalizedplates/home.aspx. See the third item under ‘Before Starting’. Thank you.
