You have 30 days from the date you moved to Iowa to register & obtain plates in your county of residence. Our website has more information on how to complete the move-in process, as well as all of the necessary forms. We recommend sending your application in by mail or dropping it in our drop box on the South Side of the Polk County Admin building for processing. If you you cannot complete your application per the recommended methods mentioned above and need to visit in person for a move-in, please schedule an appointment at www.polkcountyiowa.gov/county-treasurer/
