How do I talk to an actual person on the phone from the IRS? I am needing tax return transcripts and the website is telling me I am not giving correct info to validate my identity

You'll probably have to mail them a letter telling them who you are & why you need them...your best bet would be too Google the i.r.s. address & phone number in Washington DC & send your letter/payments their, I had better luck doing it that way instead of trying to deal with the irs building in Johnson city.

I been trying to speak to someone from the IRS for months to pay them what i owe. Im sure interest and penalties are stacking up and am frustrated with this whole ordeal.
