I have found that they simply don't know that much about the products. This is understandable as the products are technical and change regularly. Also some manufacturers have started to make the products in such a way as to keep even tech savvy people from knowing just how they work beyond simply using it. This makes it so that when someone knows enough to be helpful they also know enough to have a better paying job in I.T. or a technician job somewhere. So I don't blame them for simply not being very knowledgeable.
I've not foud them very helpful either.
