Is a 3d mammogram for screening the same as a 3d for diagnostic?
I had a 3d mammogram for screening then a diagnostic exam and was told to have another diagnostic in 6 months. I am now scheduled for a 3d diagnostic - is that possible?

Diagnostic just means there is a radiologist reading your report while you are there. Screening is read later and report sent through the mail or s phone call days later.

Screenings are done to detect breast cancer and diagnostic mammograms are used following something abnormal.
