I was seen today by Holly Fisk and am really impressed by her thoroughness! She was very kind and listened to all my concerns with a deep understanding! Very knowledgeable and I appreciate her very much! Thank you to the staff also. They did a wonderful job!

The staff and care are amazing at Seby B. Jones Radiation Oncology Center. Every single staff member welcomes patients in a way that makes this experience bearable. I always felt informed and comfortable while taking radiation. These ladies go the extra mile to make each patient feel important and loved. I’m so thankful for each one of them and the care I received. It is a blessing to have this center so close to home. God bless each and every one of them!

Everyone at the cancer and radiation offices are outstanding, especially Dr. Ballenger.

I was recently diagnosed with cancer. I have been overwhelmed by the kindness and caring shown to me by everyone at Seby B Jones cancer center. I can't imagine being treated anywhere else. I would highly recommend this center to anyone who is battling cancer.

Questions & Answers

I was recentlu diagnosed with advanced, high risk prostate cancer. Eight of the twelve biopsies were positive. Do I need to have a referral from my specialist or family doctor to get scheduled for my radiation treatments ??

Yes. In order to have any type of chemo it has to be a recommendation of your doctor with diagnosis. You also would have to meet with the doctor at the center, and go to orientation for chemo. Orientation is just a formality of what chemo possibly can do to you and make sure that you're aware of it. It's a one-on-one ordeal.

How do I get a refill on my Piqray and those that go with it?

Call the cancer center they will help you out and talk to the nurse

I live in N. Wilkesboro. I am facing 33 doses of Radiation. My oncologist is sending me to Winston Salem, which I don't want to drive to every day. Can anyone tell me abut the Radiation program here??

They have radiation treatments, but they may not be the exact same as Baptist. If you can't drive back and forth look into the SECU family house to stay the night in Winston. It's $40 a night or can be based on income as well. Did you ask your Dr if the cancer center in Boone offers the same?
