Absolutely! have done it many tmes! Everybody does, you do Not want to drive. Mr. Nelson is either never been there, or very lazy. Takes 10 minutes.

Kate Brit is correct. It would be a good half an hour walk. However, if you've not been in Pittsburgh much it is well worth the walk for site seeing purposes. However if it is a night game in this cold weather I suggest you take an uber or taxi to & from. The Hampton is a beautiful place to stay for a couple nights & keeps you centrally located so you can walk the point state park, then cross over to t he north shore to see PNC Park ,Heinz field, & the Carnegie museum.
Yeah that would be a pretty good hike from there. I would recommend uber/lyft from there or stay a little further into downtown for a shorter walk
