Dogs are allowed only below the Bonneville shoreline trail and then only if on a leash. Be aware that certain trails are shared by equestrian riders on horses and some are only for mountain biking and not hiking.
I know that dogs are not allowed in the watershed areas that dot Corner Canyon, so if you pay attention to the signs you should be fine.
The trail is a fast and technical mountain biking trail. So while dogs may be allowed (and I don't know what the laws are), if the dog is not on a leash and able to quickly move off the trail, it may ne a hazard for bikers and the dog. When i go with my young kids, i try to go at off times and stay close to them so that they aren't run over by a biker who may not see or hear them and who my kids don't know to look out for.
I think so. I found a dog tag up there when we hiked it, so I assume people bring them.
