Hi22
Great trail to go up and down. Is shaded and has the creek running next to it so it is not very hot. Nice and flows downhill with lots of corners.it is a quick and easy climb too. Once you get to the top you can ride over to the peak view trailhead and do whatever you want.

This is a fun quick hike that is very kid friendly. We chose to hike down but if mountain biking is your thing you can do that too. We went on this hike in the late evening and even then the sun didn't bother us because it is a very shady trail. The area is beautiful with lots of great places to stop and enjoy the scenery. The road to get to the trailhead is fairly well maintained, however there were a few places where a car would struggle. I would recommend taking at least an SUV or truck but if you don't have one it's okay, a car will make it but you may bottom out a few times.

Ok, to be fair my experience was closer to a 4-star one, but that's because I decided to run this from the Bear Canyon Suspension Bridge in the heat of the afternoon. There is little shade until you get to the falls if you're heading in the direction of Jacob's Ladder. Nice little waterfall that's still flowing. Just be careful, there's poison ivy everywhere near the falls.

Fun and easy hike with all kinds of things to check out. It is a little tricky to get to at times because some of the road are closed depending on the season. Even if you have to park down in the neighborhoods and hike up it is still an easy hike. The loop is decent size and they have all kinds of stuff to see along the way. Even and old truck that got stuck in the hills. It is a easy and fun hike to check out if you are in the area.

Maybe if it's a very nimble jogging stroller. Wouldn't recommend it though as there are lots of bikers and its mostly singletrack trail with no place for a stroller to get off the trail.
True there is a road the goes from the Orson Smith trailhead to the ghost falls trailhead but it has been closed this year since July 1st. Probably due to fire safety. Because the road is closed it is now a long walk or short/medium bike ride to reach the trailhead. An alternative route would be to park near the Rush trail at the top of suncrest and then it's a shorter walk down the dirt road to reach the ghost falls trailhead.
Yes. A bit muddy in spots.
It depends on where you start from and how fast you walk. Not more than 2 hours.
Dogs are allowed only below the Bonneville shoreline trail and then only if on a leash. Be aware that certain trails are shared by equestrian riders on horses and some are only for mountain biking and not hiking.
