You can only apply when the waiting list is open, at this time it's closed but contact Denver Housing Authority because their list should open up in September. You can go to the Colorado Coalition and they may be able to help you housing and different resources. I hope this information helps you. GOD bless you!!!

There isn't a wait list for section 8 the only way u can get it is when their lottery opens up for 2 days. Denver's lottery will open up for applications online some time in Sept. Aurora had there motified rent opened for 2 days for a new location just recently. They've not had their section8 opened for many years now. Try all the counties by first checking their website to see when & if they will be having a lottery. This doesn't guarantee u a spot. U have to hope ur number is picked. If ur number is picked they go off that list all year. At the end of the year all those who weren't choosen go back in the pile until the next lottery if u decide to apply again. Last year in Denver 22,000 people applied & less than 10% were choosen. This is how it was explained to me.
