Amazing experience! Great staff, caring and professional.

Preface this review. It is ONLY for billing and not for the amazing care our cold received. Be very careful when checking in and insist upon doing so with a human who verified with insurance they only charge you the amount dictated by your insurance. To check in for an MRI for a follow up visit, patients are only given the option of using a computer. Several steps in a payment screen appears. Mine said my cost was $500. There was no signage allowing me to skip that payment and no information about checking in with a person. I felt compelled to pay the $500 so our child could get the MRI and see the doctor. I later looked at my copayment and the cost estimate was $186. When I asked the receptionist, she said it’s a glitch in the system that I could call billing, but said the positive is it will go toward my annual out of pocket. I called billing and was told it would go to my deductible, to which I said I’ve already met it. She then also gave me the line with giddiness about me just having contributed toward my annual out of pocket. Doing so is my choice, not theirs to make a mandate in order for our child to receive care. She then said she was emailing her supervisor who would determine whether or not she would decide to refund the over charge. What I pay should be directly connected to what my insurance states is the amount I owe rather than some arbitrary dollar amount that any overage can contribute to my out of pocket. This is criminal!

Our daughter was admitted to Childrens NICU for 5 days for RSV. The care she was given from the nurses and doctors was outstanding. Each of them truly cared about her and did everything they could to get her better. They were excellent at explaining all her treatments. Huge thank you to Drew, Michael and Jess in the NICU. These nurses will always have a place in my heart.

I think this hospital is wonderful. My daughter born at 24 weeks was transferred here to have a procedure. They were going to transfer her back but I let them know I prefer her to stay here. That's how great this hospital is! The doctors and nurses have been wonderful and I am so thankful and grateful!

Yes. In the volunteer office you can purchase food gift cards for patients and their families. These can be for a special person or purchased anonymously for families in need.
Check to see if you can get into the Ronald McDonald House
Yes. Call them up. You know when that hotline bling, it can only mean one thing
There is a dentist. It is a teaching hospital as well so you may see 2 dentists while you are there. Very good dentists, in my opinion.
Yes. Call the main hospital line and ask for Volunteer Coordinator. Incredible place!
Asking wouldn't hurt
You'd have to go to the ER. Or have your pcp order it
The volunteer office occasionally makes rounds and offers them to patients, but not frequently due to lack of supply.
That would more than likely require a referal from your physician. Good luck.
Outside of the ICUs, which have their own visiting hours, there are no set visiting hours for families. Just be mindful of the hour.
Depending on the dept inside the room, at a hotel across the street or at thr Ronald McDonald house
Hi Veronica. Thanks for inquiring! Our Fresh Marketplace cafeteria is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.
It's a fire drill response. They test them often so I wouldn't be worried. A good rule of thumb is if you don't see staff worrying and no one is asking you leave that area it's all good, they got lots of training on these types of things.
I used gofund.me but ask the hospital social worker if there's anything you can do through the hospital.
I'm not totally sure but one thing I can tell you as this hospital has everything Google the number of column I imagine they do they're the best of the best from what I understand
They have a volunteer center on 1st floor: I would start there.
You can apply at www.compassgroupcareers.com. Click on search jobs you can either search by zip code 80045 or you can search by keyword Children's Hospital. If you have any other questions I'm happy to help 😊
Hello can we get it today
No, but you do enough walking to get to everywhere that you don't need it.
There is the child health clinic that provides primary care. https://www.childrenscolorado.org/doctors-and-departments/departments/primary-care/child-health-clinic/
if you can donate here
Depends if they are a service animal or a therapy animal...
Hi, Thank you for your message regarding transportation vouchers for your stay at Children's Hospital Colorado. Please contact our Social Work department at 720-777-6975 for help with your request.
Yes
From Locks of Love Denver. "10 inches Hair cut years ago is usable if it has been stored in a ponytail or braid. 10 inches (25.4 cm) measured tip to tip is the minimum length needed for a hairpiece. Hair that is shaved off and not in a ponytail or braid is not usable."
You can log onto my chart and email the doctor to get a clear answer. Or there is a nurse hot line you can call and ask too.
Yes, you can!
You'll need to call your specialist or the nurse line for that.
Hi, Thank you so much for your generous interest in making a donation for our patients and their families! To learn more about donations, please visit: https://www.childrenscolorado.org/community/donate-volunteer/donate/
The PICU is located on the third floor. We offer a virtual tour of the hospital here: http://virtualtour.childrenscolorado.org/virtualtour/Hospital
They offer some CME courses/credits for medical providers. For the courses you are asking about you would likely be better served at a community college or a University with a nursing program like Regis or UNC.
Contact the volunteer office.
Check with the volunteers office. They will be able to help you out.
8 or 9 am
You're best bet would probably to call the volunteer office and get redirected from there. One thing to consider though is that it is respiratory season, they really restrict visitors to the hospital.
Good morning, and welcome! I don't work for the hospital so I'm not sure. You should call them and ask to speak with a pulmonary specialist. I wish the very best to you and your family, especially the newborn baby girl.
There are urgent care facilities that would take better care of your children than children's hospital ER does.
I would check with their PR/community outreach department. I'm sure they would welcome prayers and gifts for the children.
And. https://forms.childrenscolorado.org/email
You would have to go to the hospital to see what kind of therapy is available
You can find hotels in the local area guide located here: https://www.childrenscolorado.org/locations/anschutz-medical-campus-aurora/local-area-guide/
Ask the attending physician and theyll get you all the information needed to start the process
You have to get in contact with the Voluneer office(AOV) they will give you information on how to donate. The office is open Monday- Friday 8a.m.-9 p.m.
and
Idk because I do not work there but u could call
There is a help desk immediately as you walk in the main entrance to the hospital, not the emergency department... Hope this helps
There are two hotels directly across the street. One is the SpringHill Suites by Marriott, and the other is the Hyatt Recency Aurora Denver, which is newly constructed.
Yes, CHCO has many types of outpatient clinics at the main campus that are always in need of outpatient nurses. I would suggest shadowing a few nurses in these areas to get a feel for the dynamic.
What kind of brace? For scoliosis? For a knee injury? For an AFO? The MD just orders a brace and an orthotist customizes it to your child. Depending on what type of brace your child needs, there are many places you can go for custom braces (orthotics).
Yes there is
Yes they accept colorado medicaid and they prefer you have your med card on hand if you haven't been seen there before
Im not sure of the various programs but im pretty sure they will have a nich for you
Go to the doctor
