I was there in January 2018 and noticed signs stating service dogs can not go into the mine. Folks put on hardhats, etc, then straddle an actual mine tram, sitting on narrow plank with no wiggle room at all. The mine passages are very narrow, the ground is uneven, and some places have a lot of stairs. A service dog could not be safely accommodated. Depending on the disability of the handler, the mine tour may not be a good choice. EDIT: Despite an uninformed answer to the contrary, there is absolutely a sign stating no service dogs. It is NOT illegal. The law reads: "If a business can show that allowing a service dog to enter a specific part of their business would constitute a direct threat, fundamental alteration, or undue burden, then they may legally exclude service dogs from entering there, but must still accommodate the person with a disability without their service dog." The mine tour operators very wisely, and LEGALLY prohibit service dogs for the safety of all.
Not wyse. No room for them to sit, very loud at times.
Even if they let you, please don't bring your dog.
No animals, it is dark and might be scary for s dog
I agree not for animals
The ride is not for animals, it would be a disservice to the dog.
There is no sign stating Service dogs not allowed as its illegal. You can bring a service dog but I personaly do not reccomend it.
I agree . I doubt they will let you take a dog in their. You need to call and ask. Asking a dog to set on a 2 by 10 in close quarders with a lot of noise in people around. Also. Everyone will be wearing a helmet flashlight. So lights will be flickering in every direction. Also if it were to fall. The chance of injury would be very high.
I would think not. This was a real working mine and the mine cars going in can not hold any size dog safely. But as everyone else has said, give them a call.
I doubt it...
