Bus (Peter Pan, Greyhound, etc.) or train to NYC. Once in NYC take the subway to Grand Central and from there you can walk. In the reception questions by the consulate, and you go up to the last floor where the consulate is. I recommend calling ahead to make sure you have all the requirements, including a bank note for the price of the renewal.
