Wayne your question seems to imply you have never been to the VA. So you need a VA health care card. Go in to the main entrance you can either ask one of the volunteers what to do or take a number at the kiosk. When they call your number the process begins!

That depends on the clinic and clinic availability. If a bunch of docs call it for illness. Walk in get closed. Most docs here are scheduled at a rate that exceeds medically responsible volumes. So if they are short staff your gambling your time. Especially in cold/flu/snowbird season.

I know you can walk in. I would call an ask if you can make an appointment or at least ask when their slow times are to keep you from having to wait long to get done what you need to get done. I am not sure if their weights are long or not, but plan ahead so you a prepared to be understanding of the process.
