There are Rodeo shows at 7 pm on every Friday and Saturday.
After 5 it's more of night bar scene. Most shops close around 6. Restaurnts open late. Plenty going on till bar closing time.
All the bars in the Stockyards are open til or later. White Elephant saloon, the beer garden, also the gift shops are open til 8 or 9 o'clock. On Friday and Saturday, they have rodeo events at the Cowtown coliseum in the old live stock exchange building at night.
Several places are open after 5pm. If you can make it earlier try 1 of the walking tours, minimal cost but very informative. About an 1hr or so to do. Especially if you are into history stuff.

There is also 2 times a day a cattle drive on main street, i believe 11am and 3 pm.

Absolutely..All the shops and restaurants remain open well after 6:00.Be sure and eat at Joe Garcias and check out the antique shops..
