The stock yards are free and you can buy the tickets for rides at the same spot. They accept cash and cards.

Stockyards is Free, it has shopping, food, and bar's and ride's and it's famous for it's bull riding show
I think to sit on Longhorn they charge $5 and pony ride was $7 per kid. Also there are simulator for Rodeo experience and also horse riding I guess $70 for one hour. All this can be done walk-in so no advance ticket required.
It depends which attraction inside the stockyards that you're trying to buy a ticket for. The stockyards themselves are free.
