Is there a fee to just visit for a day? And can we get in the water, or for boats only?

Yes it's a one time fee for parking and it last the hole day. It's a great place to swim to so yes it is for everything water

There is a fee to use it for the day. It's 10 bucks for Monday thru Thursday, and I think 15 bucks for weekends. You can get in the water. There's a section that boats aren't allowed in, plus lots of people water ski and wakeboard, so they fall in a lot.

There is an entrance fee but there's also a beach on the east side that you could go on and swim and play
