We went mountain biking here today. It was perfect for beginner/intermediate riders - which we were. Took us about 4 hours to ride. We started at 7am and the temperature was perfect. Views from the trail are great. It reminded me of the final scene from Thelma and Louise and it turns out that’s where they shot it.

Went to Dead Horse Point State Park to watch the sunset and it did not disappoint. There were lots of rocks for the kids to clamber over and great views of Canyonlands NP and the Colorado River. We also enjoyed a very nice picnic dinner there at the end of the point so that we could park our car and then walk around the rim while we were waiting for sunset.

A great stop and so worth the 20 $ entry fee. I did the east west rim trail which is a loop during the sunset and it was very good. Start with the west rim. The trail over a long weekend was relatively empty and peaceful, probably due to the cloud coverage. The trail has some nice look out points which are worth stopping and spending a while. I would say it is family friendly and an easy trail with barely much elevation gain but do water.

Many people come here to share the maze of red rocks and canyons. They look like the Grand Canyon only in a smaller way. The trails along the rim are short, pleasant and extremely charming, and at the same time it is extremely quiet and you can hear the wind and the birds fly. I would highly recommend

National Park pass is not valid here because it is a State Park. Was just there a couple of days ago.
If you're talking about the blue pools, it is a mine that pumps a salt/mineral from under the ground into pools to dry for their use in fertilizer. They use a blue dye to speed up the drying process. Hope that's what you're talking about!
Sunset. From ease of visit, lighting conditions which bring out beautiful colors and shadows
