Overlooks and Scenic views of Colorado River
It's grand view point
The view
Parking is adequate and near the gift shop and resturant, however the latter is not open yet. There is a path around the building that goes over to the ledge with outstanding views and a 3 foot wall to keep you from falling. There is another path that goes along the ledge but is not really well marked at times but neither paths allow bikes, strictly hiking. The views are terrific and there are a few information boards with explanations of various views across the gigantic Valley where the Colorado River can be seen and some ponds of light blue water connected with potash gathering takes place.
Scenery, history, access to biking and hiking, photogenic area, camping, dark sky ...
Everything!
The view and it is not as crowded as the National parks
The view, the observation deck is right at the edge of the cliff, you can look straight to the bottom. It's just awesome.
It's a wonderful hike, for any difficulty level. You can also rent bikes or if your just there for the destination and not the journey. (Maybe parents with kids who wouldn't handle the 2-4 mile trail) You can also just drive straight to the top.
The scenery and the history of it.
