If you take 1×2 's you need to get as many as you need one window 4 1×2's picture window 6.Get a roll of plastic lay it on the floor you need to roll edges of plastic up with 1x2s fit to window a staple gun will hold plastic on 1x2s small long thin nails to put on window you can nail it inside or outside the wind make alot of noise outside tip.

One example is our brick foundation, I used expanding foam to seal all the cracks around all the foundation perimeter prior to the cold winter. That help seal it up and keep the cold air out from under the house. I did help a great deal. But as said earlier there are many different areas to weatherize and different materials as well as techniques to weatherize. Your best bet is checking YouTube videos for what you are wanting to do or call lowes for direction.
