It is best to try and adhere to the visiting hours posted, unless emergent of course, because this helps promote patient healing. Your loved ones need rest and during the day it can be very exhausting for patients, leaving night time as the main restful period. It provides the most opportunity for a decent rest. Families of patients tend to often exhaust themselves too and placing visiting hour limits also helps them by ensuring they get a good nights rest as well.
"Normal" visiting hours are until 9pm, but they will allow you in at the main entrance after 9pm & most of the time nusing staff will alow you to visit at 9pm as long as it isn't a lot of people and you don't make too much noise.
