SLHA does not give out your specific number in line because those in front of you may not be able to prove their preference eligibility for whatever reason and the applicant is therefore reranked effecting your waiting list number up or down. I can tell you that there are nearly 20,000 applicants still on the waiting list due to online acceptance since 2014.
I do not know the answer to that question. I would think that you would call and speak to someone outside of the receptionist who could answer that question. Maybe, the person who actually sends out the notification.
