Pets not allowed unless service certified animals.
You can also take turns walking through the Alamo and one of you stay with the dog out side. There is a nice park with trees to relax and wait for the other person to come out.
Lucretia, I see you received several conflicting opinions. Here is what the site "Pet friendly" says: "Because dogs are only allowed outside of the buildings and on the sidewalks, it's best to leave them at a doggie daycare, kennel or pet sitter, as it is absolutely worth the visit. You can find listings for kennels, doggie daycares and pet sitters near the Alamo on the Vacation Pet Friendly San Antonio Travel Guide."
Did not see anything that would indicate that you couldn't.
There are no pets allowed inside the Alamo. They have to stay outside on restraint or accompain by a guardian. Sorry

I saw a cat there on the grounds real friendly it must have belong to somebody
No pets are allowed on the Alamo grounds unless they are a service animal.
Pets are not permitted. I recall seeing buggies, but I wouldn't recommend it on a busy day- The walkways are narrow and unpaved which can be almost impossible when busy.
Pets are not allowed.

I do not recall seeing dogs but I think I saw strollers there.
