The building itself roughly the size of a house. The original structure included walls, and fortirications that extend far beyond what it is today. It was started by the Spanish as a church/fort (San Antonio was vital to control Texas, and supply further inland areas), and was unfinished when used by the Texans to hold off the Mexican empire during their independence war.
Not sure the exact height, but it exits because of the History of it! The Battle at the Alamo is one that will leave you in Aww when you visit!
