I called Banfield because my dog was sick whole on a long road trip. They're were able to get me an appointment for the same day for emergency care. The Vet was very friendly as well as the staff. We have an Wellness plan for our pet so our out of pocket expense was not too costly.

I love the vets...I have never had an issue with them or their abilities to take wonderful care of my fur babies. I would also like to make a specific shout out to McKenna (sorry if I spelled it wrong, girl!). She has ALWAYS been so kind and attentive to my dogs and to me when I have been worried for them. She is there as a listening ear and to be extremely helpful with whatever I need and I couldn't be more appreciative of her. Give her a raise. My biggest issues have always been with other front staff members. They never have their phones on when they open, and once when I called them out, I was lied to and basically called a liar. They have a serious issue with answering phones and it happens so often that I have considered moving vets. Writing this at 816 AM after calling 4 times and getting a vm saying they aren't open. YES THEY ARE. Editing to add...it is now 838 AM and their phones are still off. Called another one to see if their phones matched their Google hours and they do. This happens every time I try to call in the morning. Editing again...915AM and still off. Edit (9/5/22): I did end up having someone reach out to try and talk about the issue to have it resolved, but after some back and forth it never happened. That's okay, though, because all I really wanted was for them to start turning their phones on when they are listed as open. Since my original review, I haven't had another issue like this again. Their phones are always on at opening time, and I've had good experiences with new and familiar front staff members. It seems like they've put in effort to fix the front staff issues and it is GREATLY appreciated. Still a loyal client, and I'm very happy with the care my pets recieve. I'm happy to update this with a much better rating.

The costs vary depending on whether you are part of their wellness plans, the age of your dog and level of care required. For example, a puppy needing a full array of shots and deworming will cost more than an adult dog. Senior dogs may run higher if there are health issues requiring additional testing. Call your nearest Banfield for cost information based on your needs.
No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
All preventive care offered.
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
