If it's non- emergency they allow you to go with your pet.
Yes For routine exams. You or whoever brings your pet in to be seen are pretty much required to be in the exam room with your pet except if it is a surgical procedure such as spaying/neutering, an injury that needed suturing, casting broken bones etc then No -- You're not allowed to be in the operating room and will have to leave your pet at the vet and pick it back up post-op either the same or following day. **With the exception of a routine visit for vaccinations like Parvo, Distemper, Rabies, etc and that's the only reason they're going in to be seen I personally wouldn't take my babies to any vet unless I could be in the exam room with them -- too many errors could happen and a huge situation where information could/would get lost in translation between the pet & the vet & the reason the pet is being brought in to be seen so the pet wouldn't get the proper treatment & either get mis-diagnosed and get the wrong treatment, not enough treatment or too much & unnecessary treatment.
