I gave early notice to my apt. office that I would be moving out in May of last year. Lease was up in July; I gave my notice in March. Even though I had already moved, I took April and May to finish moving. Do I have to pay for June rent?

If the landlord has made an effort to find a tenant and has not let the place after you moved out and turned keys in, you are still liable per the lease. However, if they were able to re-rent the residence they cannot double dip and must release you from the portion of rent they are collecting from another party.

From my limited understanding yes unfortunately. Unless the owner/manager rents the unit to someone else. You're responsible for the rent for the duration of the lease. However Ms. April and her staff will be able to give you more information, and options!

It would be probated if you had any items left in the apt or if you havent given the key back. If you've already turned in your key and vacated the unit, you cannot be charged June's rent
